A decade after 250 Bowery took its stretch of Nolita by storm and ushered in a wave of upscale condos, its designer, Morris Adjmi, is hard at work a few doors down: A recent Instagram post shows that the eight-story building planned for 260 Bowery is about halfway up. Its location in Special Little Italy District caps its height at 85 feet, but that doesn’t seem to have any ill effect. Renderings show a building with an attractive grey brick façade that complements the surrounding buildings. Nexus Development is the developer, whose other new projects include 155 Mulberry Street and 165 Chrystie Street.

The first two floors will be devoted to retail, and there will be five apartments on top. Floors 3-6 will have 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath homes with private terraces or balconies, and the top three floors will house a lavish penthouse with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a private roof deck. The residences will spacious, featuring open layouts with top-of-the-line finishes and abundant natural light pouring in from floor-to-ceiling windows.
