Help! I'm Seeing Double!

For those of you who don't know, I am a twin!  My sister Allison is a physician in Oklahoma and we try to spend our birthdays together each year.  This year we spent our birthday (August 20th) in New York City so you might have been seeing double - photo below!

How does this relate to real estate?

Buyers and sellers can see double:

  • Buyers can make offers on two (or more) properties at the same time

  • Seller's can receive offers from two (or more) buyers at the same time

  • Transactions can occur on the same timeline for two clients (buying, selling or renting)

The trick to seeing double is having a real estate agent (ME!) who can help you see a single, clear image and conclusion.

Please reach out to me if you have any real estate specific questions, would simply like to discuss current market conditions, or wish to receive real estate news about your neighborhood!

End Of Summer Ice Cream Tour

milk and cream.jpg

I love ice cream - its the instant pick-me-up!  With the end of summer approaching, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite ice cream shops downtown.  Last year, 16 Handles was my go-to on Bleecker Street, but it is now a Juice Generation so I had to expand my horizons!

A must-try is the Milk & Cream Bar at 159 Mott Street.  Cereal is mixed into one of two flavors - this month its vanilla or chocolate chip cookie dough.  My first cereal choice was Frosted Flakes which was very sweet, but I've been mixing in Lucky Charms going forward - delicious!

Here are a few other places that you should try if you haven't already!

  • Morgenstern's - the line is long so make sure to try it during a weekday afternoon

  • Milk Bar - the original on Mott Street is an easy stop-and-go and I just discovered their milkshakes - they just opened another location in the West Village on Christopher Street

  • By Chloe is a Vegan eatery with take-home pints. I tried a peanut butter & jelly vegan flavor that was pretty tasty

There is no shortage of ice cream in the area - if you need a recommendation email me!

@CleanUpSoho Receives $60,000 In Funding

Council Member Margaret Chin Allocated $60,000 For Supplemental Street Cleaning In Soho!

In addition to working as a full-time real estate agent, I have a 501C3 non-profit organization (NYC Strut Corporation) that helps strengthen the community of Soho, NYC where I live.  I produce a tourist map and distribute to the local hotels and businesses to help tourists navigate the neighborhood more effectively.

I, along with a few other residents, have been working this year to raise public and private funding for new garbage cans on popular Soho street corners and additional supplemental street cleaning services.

To date, we have 18 trash cans sponsored by local businesses (60 Guilders, Premier Equities, CBRE & Bloomingdale's) and over the weekend, we heard that Council Member Margaret Chin is providing $60,000 to subsidize efforts to clean up the neighborhood!

If you are interested in contributing or learning more, please reach out to me at Danielle@SohoStrut.com.
