"Do's & Don't's" of buying an apartment in NYC

Hi Friends & Clients!

Last week, I hosted a seminar at CommonBond and we had over 80 people attend!  The event was filmed on Periscope and you can view it here.  Thank you for all the great feedback from this event!

Here is the grand finale slide on "Do's & Don't's" of buying an apartment in NYC:

Do:

  • Understand timing between board application to approval

  • Speak to a loan officer prior to making an offer

  • Prepare all income and asset documents in advance

  • Get the Project information to the Lender as early as possible

  • Disclose all debt to your mortgage broker and real estate agent

  • Coordinate with your loan officer and real estate agent on the rate lock and timing of closing.

Don’t:

  • Transfer assets or make large deposits prior to application

  • Establish any new debt during the loan application process

  • Change jobs without notifying the Lender well in advance

  • Forget to make any payments on your existing credit accounts

I would love to host a complimentary "Lunch & Learn" for you so please don't hesitate to reach out!

Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Danielle Nazinitsky
